Jessica is a member of the UNC band, so we built her session around that part of her college experience.
Instead of just cap-and-gown portraits, we incorporated her saxophone, something that represents years of dedication, early mornings, performances, and pride.
That’s where your photos go from “nice” to unforgettable.
Whether it’s:
Your session should reflect the life you actually lived here.
Start Strong: Kenan Stadium
We started at Kenan Memorial Stadium, and it couldn’t have been a better fit for Jessica.
Photographing her with her saxophone in the stadium brought her entire UNC experience to life in one place. It’s bold, it’s different, and it tells a story you don’t get anywhere else on campus.
If you were part of athletics, band, or game day traditions, this spot is a must.
No UNC graduation session is complete without the places that define the campus.
Old Well is the signature UNC photo location. Clean, timeless, and instantly recognizabl. It’s a staple for a reason.
The Bell Tower
he Morehead-Patterson Bell Tower gives you that elevated, architectural feel. It adds variety to your gallery and creates those wide, editorial-style images.
The South Lawn Seal
The seal on the South Lawn is one of those meaningful finishing touches. It represents everything UNC stands for and everything you’ve accomplished.
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers a mix of beauty and tradition that’s hard to beat:
It’s not just about pretty backdrops, it’s about what those places mean.
If you want your session to feel effortless and elevated, here’s what to keep in mind:
1. Book early
Spring sessions go quickly, especially at UNC.
2. Plan around light
Sunrise or sunset gives you the best glow but be prepared for crowds. A friend to hold a place in line especially at the well is a great idea. Consider spring break when campus is empty!
3. Bring something meaningful
Emily’s saxophone made her session. Think about what tells your story.
4. Don’t stress the details
You don’t have to figure out locations, posing, or flow. That’s what I’m here for.
There’s something different about working with someone who’s walked the same campus.
As a Tar Heel fan I've spent so much time on campus and I know:
Emily’s session wasn’t just about graduation photos. It was about capturing everything her time at Carolina meant.
While the iconic spots are a must, some of the most meaningful images come from the quieter corners of campus. Davis Library is perfect for a clean, academic backdrop, especially if you want to highlight the heart of your college experience. The He's Not Here wall adds a fun, nostalgic touch (and if you know, you know—it’s a Tar Heel staple). And don’t overlook your own academic buildings, whether it’s where you spent late nights studying, met lifelong friends, or figured out your path, those spaces tell your story in a way no landmark ever could.
