Wake Forest University Graduation Photos Locations, Tips & Ideas for Grad Portraits

Apr 24 2026 | By: Autumn Hollifield

Graduating from Wake Forest University is a milestone worth documenting in a way that feels just as meaningful as the journey it represents. If you’re searching for Wake Forest University grad portraits, Wake Forest graduation photos, or the best spots on campus, you’re in the right place!

As a North Carolina photographer, I can tell you, Wake Forest delivers. The architecture, the light, the energy…it all comes together to create timeless, elevated images you’ll want to hold onto forever.

You can’t talk about Wake Forest graduation pictures without starting at Wait Chapel. It’s the centerpiece of campus and instantly recognizable.

The steps, columns, and symmetry make it perfect for:

  • Classic cap and gown portraits
  • Walking shots with movement
  • That “I made it” moment on the steps

This is where your session feels official.

One of my favorite parts of any Wake Forest grad session? The group photos. These ladies chose to do just that.

Whether it’s your sorority sisters, roommates, or the friends who got you through late nights and early classes, these are the images that hit differently years from now.

Ideas that always work:

  • Champagne pop or confetti celebration
  • Walking arm-in-arm across campus
  • Sitting on the steps of Wait Chapel together
  • Tossing caps (yes, we’ll do it more than once so we get it right)

These moments feel natural, fun, and completely you.

What to Wear for Wake Forest Graduation Pictures

For the most polished look in your Wake Forest University grad portraits, I recommend:

  • A neutral or solid outfit under your gown
  • Heels, dress shoes, or clean white sneakers
  • Simple jewelry that doesn’t compete with the stole or cords
