Every city has its own class of athletes, coaches, and fitness leaders who quietly shape the local running and wellness scene. Lululemon knows this, which is why the brand hand-picks a small group of ambassadors in each market to represent it. Here in the Triad, that meant four incredible people: Mia, Alicia, Davis, and Meagan.
When Lululemon needed a photographer who could capture each ambassador's personality, keep four separate shoots on schedule, and deliver a cohesive, on-brand gallery across two cities, they brought me in. Here's a look inside the project, and what it says about what it's like to work with a professional brand photographer in Greensboro and Winston-Salem.
Lululemon ambassador photography isn't just "take some nice pictures of athletic people." Each shoot has to:
That combination, brand consistency, individual personality, and a tight timeline is exactly the kind of project that separates a hobbyist with a camera from a professional brand photographer.
Davis โ Winston-Salem Running Ambassador
ย Meagan, Runner Winston-Salem Running Ambassador
Davis and Meagan both represent the running community, so their Winston-Salem shoots leaned into movement, pace, and the routes they actually train on. Both bring their own flare and are passionate about running, fitness and lululemon. Meeting both of them was one of the best parts of this project.
Mia, Owner of Greensboro Power Studios โ Studio Session in Greensboro
Mia is the owner of Greensboro Power Studios as well as a yoga teacher. She is phenomenal at brining people together and was absolutely a no brainer choice for an ambassador. Her photoshoot took place at Siren Studios in Greensboro and Lebauer Park, showcasing her personality, yoga poses and her light shined.
Alicia, Runner โ Street Style in Downtown Greensboro
Alicia, a runner, represents the Greensboro lululemon store as well. She brought tons of energy to her shoot as we trekked through downtown Greensboro, looking for locations that matched her. I think we nailed it.
If you're a company (or a brand ambassador program) searching for a brand photographer in Greensboro or Winston-Salem, projects like this one are a good gauge of what to actually look for:
An eye for the brand, not just "nice photos." Anyone can take a flattering portrait. A brand photographer studies what makes a brand's visual identity recognizable, its color palette, energy, and tone and builds every frame around that, whether the setting is a controlled studio or a busy downtown sidewalk.
The ability to run multiple shoots without dropping the ball. This project meant four different people, two cities, and one deadline. A professional plans logistics in advance. Locations, timing, backup weather plans, wardrobe coordination, so nothing falls apart mid-project.
Consistency across very different settings. A studio session, a downtown street shoot, and outdoor running shots all need to feel like they belong to the same campaign. That consistency comes from intentional choices in lighting, composition, and editing, not luck.
Reliable, on-time delivery. Brand and marketing teams work on real deadlines. A photographer worth hiring delivers a finished, organized, ready-to-use gallery when they say they will. Not "sometime next month."
If your company, gym, ambassador program, or brand needs photography that actually looks like you. Professional, on-schedule, and delivered without chasing anyone down, that's the kind of project Autumn Hollifield Creative specializes in.
