A Backyard Retreat at Belews Lake: Capturing New Garden Nursery’s Landscape + Hardscape Masterpiece

As a professional brand photographer in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point, I get to document some truly incredible spaces, and this residential landscaping project at Belews Lake was one for the books.

I recently partnered with New Garden Nursery, a leading landscape and hardscape design company in North Carolina, to photograph one of their latest transformations. Set along the scenic shoreline of Belews Lake, this outdoor space was designed to be both functional and serene, showcasing the kind of expert craftsmanship New Garden is known for.

Highlights of this project include:

A custom koi pond that adds movement, tranquility, and natural beauty to the landscape
A stone firepit installation, perfect for relaxing evenings and entertaining guests
Beautifully designed hardscapes, including walkways and retaining walls, that blend seamlessly into the natural terrain
Lush, curated plantings that soften the structure and enhance the lakefront views

Photographing this finished outdoor space allowed me to highlight not only the visual impact of the design, but also the level of care and expertise that went into every detail. Projects like this are a reminder of how landscape photography can serve as a powerful marketing tool for businesses in the home improvement, outdoor living, and landscaping industries.
